Chicken, Vegetables and Rice Yum!

The internet is great.

I was wanting to make something with chicken and rice today and I didn't have any creamed soup, which I am trying to use less, so I went on a search. I like http://www.cooks.com/ so that is where I ended up. I found a recipe for chicken and rice with Italian dressing and veggies. I didn't have any dressing so I did a search for that. I made some Italian dressing to use in my chicken recipe. It is cooking now and smells so good.

Here are the recipes I used from http://www.cooks.com/

Chicken, Vegetable and Rice Casserole

I didn't cover when I started baking and it wasn't done in the time called for. I covered and cooked another 30 minutes.

Itailian Dressing

This is it after we dug in of course. Yum!!

First Kids of the year. Twins.

We got twins this morning. I didn't get very good pictures.
This is the first of about 7 goats, if we keep them all. We are looking in to getting rid of some and getting 2 bred nubians due in March. They are milkers and we would bottle feed the babies.
I just love kidding seasons. Brings such excitement around here. Little man wants to go to the goat pen every 30 minutes. LOL.

I had so much to share that I just made a slide show. Enjoy the pictures.

EDIT: I don't know why the slide show doesn't work so I am deleting it.

Craft Post

I resurrected my Knifty Knitters the other day. I had bought them and tried to use them by following the directions that came with them. I got discouraged and put them away.

I was reading on the Hearts at Home forum that I go to in the craft area and they mentioned looking on youtube for some videos on how to use them. I went and found several different stitches you can do on the Knifty Knitters. I went and pulled mine out of hiding. I have since made a few little practice pieces and am now working on a hat for my son.

I have the Long looms and they are a little different from the round ones that most people make hats on. I think it will work though. It may be a little bit big. ??

Little man started on his hat and I am finishing it.

In the kit that I got there are 4 looms. This yellow one is the second size up. The smaller one is for like baby hats and smaller pieces.

I want to make a baby blanket for a friend that is having a baby shower soon. I hope to get it done by then. I will use the largest loom and see what happens.
Happy Crafting!

We are getting ready for some baby goats in February. We will be milking two to start with and since it will be cold we are building a milking parlor. I am so excited about this. We were milking outside before but were blessed with good weather. There was a few times milking in the cold but never got rained on.

Here are some of our milking goats getting ready to kid.

We painted the milking stand too.

A renegade on the run?

No, Little Man waiting for Daddy to come by. Daddy just took too long.
